What are we looking for?

 We’re looking for our first Data Engineer with solid experience and a love for SQL to join our lean, high-impact data team. 

You’ll be working directly with our Director of Data – your work will directly shape our decision-making across marketing, product, operations, and more.

 This is a unique opportunity to contribute across the data stack, grow fast, and take ownership of meaningful problems from day one.

 What You’ll Be Doing 

• Build and maintain robust SQL pipelines that power dashboards and reporting

 • Create and optimize data models and transformations (e.g., in Big Query)

 • Work with the Director of Data to support performance marketing, customer lifecycle tracking, and operations.

 • Ensure data quality and consistency across sources and platforms

 • Help scale our data infrastructure as we grow – from scrappy to scalable Qualifications

 • 2-4 years of experience in a data engineering or BI role

 • Strong SQL skills – you’re comfortable writing complex queries and thinking in joins and CTEs

 • A passion for data accuracy – you care about clean joins, consistent metrics, and trustworthy pipelines

 • Experience improving query performance and pipeline efficiency – you know how to spot bottlenecks and optimize for scale

 • Experience with Python in a data context: Building complex ETLs, working with APIs, Data manipulations, Airflow Operators 

• Experience working with Cloud tools: GCP (BigQuery, Functions, Pub/Sub, Airflow) or Parallel tools in AWS 

• Curiosity and autonomy – a natural problem solver who enjoys figuring things out and digging into data

 • Passionate about working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Preferred (Nice to Have)

 • Familiarity with tools for data transformation

 • Exposure to e-commerce, subscription metrics, or marketing analytics • Attribution model knowledge
